There is a restriction on the profile image size so that all the profile pictures are of the same length and width in pixels.

2.Dimensions of the Image

You may receive an error message if the image you are uploading is three times wider than its length. You can check or adjust the image’s length or width by opening the image in ‘Paint’ and in the Home tab click on ‘Resize’. This will show you the image’s length and width. If you want to upload a high-quality image whose size is more than the standard size you need to bring it to a size of 15 GB by saving it in the .jpg format.

4.Restrictions for uploading an image

You will receive an error message if you are uploading more than two hundred images to a single album. However, you can create as many albums you want. The maximum number of images that you are allowed to upload to the “mobile uploads" folder is one hundred. If you exceed this number, Facebook will automatically create an extra mobile uploads album.
